Max Verstappen has launched a fierce critique against the surface conditions at the Circuit of the Americas ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 weekend, insisting that the severe asphalt bumps have crossed the line of acceptable safety standards for drivers.
The Dutch world champion openly highlighted deep structural issues across the famous layout, even though circuit organizers have repeatedly attempted to repave various sections over recent years to mitigate ongoing complaints from both top-tier categories.
Ma per me, le asperita che abbiamo sono inaccettabili," expressed Verstappen, emphasizing his genuine love for the venue juxtaposed against the frustrating reality of its unstable subgrade.

According to the Red Bull spearhead, minor surface patches will never solve the core dilemma unless promoters dig deep into the foundational layers to reconstruct the base—a massive undertaking that he firmly believes is utterly necessary.
The physical toll of these vertical impacts has taken a severe toll on drivers' bodies, with the reigning pacesetter revealing alarming medical data regarding spinal stress accumulated through high-speed braking zones and aggressive vertical loads.
