A dramatic and chaotic encounter unfolded at the Mandalika circuit as Marc Marquez triumphed in a chaotic sprint race to reclaim the championship lead from his title rivals. The action-packed encounter was immediately shaped by high drama and intense battles right from the very first corner of the grand prix weekend.
The trouble kicked off at the start when polesitter Raul Fernandez and Marco Bezzecchi saw their promising grid positions evaporate in a disastrous opening-lap incident. Marquez had launched brilliantly from fourth on the grid despite suffering a wheelie, only to be heavily pressured by Fabio Di Giannantonio as the leading pack went four-wide into turn one.
Di Giannantonio's aggressive positioning forced Marquez to sit up slightly, creating momentary hesitation for Fernandez and Bezzecchi just behind. The resulting contact between the pair instantly eliminated both riders from the race and completely opened up the battle for the victory.

Capitalizing on the chaos, Jorge Martin smoothly slipped underneath the battling pack to assume control of the race lead. Martin looked to be cruising toward victory, but with four laps remaining, a bizarre moment saw him look around the track and allow Marquez through, before committing a crucial error at Turn 16 that dropped him off the podium entirely.
Marquez comfortably brought his machine home to secure the sprint victory, with Ai Ogura charging hard to take second place just 0.509 seconds behind, while Di Giannantonio rounded out the podium in third. Martin ultimately salvaged fourth ahead of Alex Marquez as the enthralling battle shook up the championship standings.
