TO NEWS OVERVIEW
Lewis Hamilton gave Fred Vasseur his backing, after rumours of a souring of their relationship

Lewis Hamilton has given his full backing to Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur amid rumours of a rift, but insists the team needs structural changes to return to the front.

The comments come after Christian Horner's remarks that leading Ferrari would be a 'dream' sparked fresh speculation about Vasseur's future. Ferrari issued a statement reaffirming their confidence in the Frenchman.

Hamilton, who joined Ferrari in 2026, emphasised the importance of stability and unity within the team. "Structure is very important and definitely stability. Ultimately having everyone rolling in the same direction is key, probably in any business," he said.

His teammate, Charles Leclerc, has also offered his support to Vasseur, saying, "I trust Fred."

With rumours persisting, including the possibility of Antonello Coletta taking over, the situation at Ferrari remains fluid. For now, Vasseur appears to have the confidence of his drivers and the management.
