MotoGP continues its European phase of the 2026 season with the French Grand Prix at Le Mans. Following record-breaking attendance and home-rider success last year, the Bugatti Circuit is once again expected to host one of the biggest events on the MotoGP calendar.
Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi arrives in France aiming to return to winning form with Aprilia. Meanwhile, Alex Marquez heads into the weekend chasing back-to-back MotoGP victories for the first time in his premier-class career after his Jerez triumph for Gresini Racing.
French fans will also closely follow Johann Zarco and Fabio Quartararo, while Marc Marquez continues searching for his first grand prix victory of the season amid a difficult title defence campaign.

Technically, Le Mans remains one of the most demanding circuits for braking stability and low-speed acceleration. The stop-and-go nature of the Bugatti Circuit places heavy stress on rear tyre management and braking systems throughout race distance.
Weather conditions are also expected to remain a major factor. Last season, wet conditions helped Zarco secure an emotional home victory, and similar circumstances could once again influence tyre strategy, electronic setup, and race management this weekend.
With the MotoGP 2026 title fight entering a crucial phase, the French Grand Prix is expected to become an important indicator of the competitive balance between Aprilia, Ducati, KTM, and the Japanese manufacturers heading deeper into the European season.
