Motorsport, Sportrik Media - Zak O'Sullivan delivered a standout performance by topping the rookie practice session ahead of the 2026 Formula E Miami E-Prix at the Miami International Autodrome, leading the timesheets for Envision Racing.
The annual 40-minute rookie-only practice session forms part of the official Miami E-Prix weekend schedule, providing valuable track time for young and non-regular drivers while allowing teams to gather additional technical data. O’Sullivan set the fastest lap of the session with a 55.810, edging his closest rival by just under one tenth of a second.
2023 Formula 2 champion Theo Pourchaire secured second position for the Citroën Formula E Team, finishing 0.093 seconds adrift of the benchmark. The result highlighted Pourchaire’s rapid adaptation to Formula E machinery on the demanding Miami street circuit.
Current Formula 2 driver Gabriele Mini placed third for the Nissan Formula E Team, while full-season rookie Pepe Martí ended the session fourth for Cupra Kiro.
The top five was completed by Nikita Bedrin driving for DS Penske. One of the notable stories of the session was the position of reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven, who finished eighth for the Porsche Formula E Team, nearly eight tenths of a second off the fastest time.
