Zak Brown delivered a stern warning to both McLaren drivers following their late-race collision during the Singapore Grand Prix sprint, which severely threatened the team's position in the constructor standings against Red Bull and Ferrari.
The intense intra-team battle involving Lando Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri reached a boiling point on the final lap of the sprint at Turn 5. An aggressive overtaking attempt by the reigning champion resulted in a spin for both cars and forced Piastri into an early retirement.
Addressing the dramatic fallout, the McLaren Racing CEO did not hold back his frustration when speaking to the paddock media, emphasizing that such unnecessary risks jeopardize the team's championship aspirations.

"Oh yeah. That was a 'don't do that again'. And we didn't say please. That's an order," the CEO stated, highlighting the immense pressure the Woking-based outfit faces as they try to fend off relentless rivals.
Meanwhile, Team Principal Andrea Stella revealed that internal discussions are ongoing, focusing not on allocating blame, but rather on reinforcing the core values of prioritizing collective team success above individual ambitions.
"The conversations that we are having they are not finished, but it's not because we need to go back discussing if Lando was alongside Oscar – that's not the interesting bit," Stella explained regarding the post-race debrief.
For the Italian team boss, the vital takeaway is ensuring that everyone inside the cockpit constantly embraces the team's overarching interests to foster an even more united and formidable racing unit moving forward.
Having initially defended his aggressive move immediately after the sprint, Norris later acknowledged his error by Sunday, offering a heartfelt apology to the entire organization for letting them down.
"I can't attempt what I did, I should never have attempted it in the first place, even if the move was on. I simply have to think more about the team that I represent more than myself. It was a mistake on my part, I let down the team," Norris admitted.
