The 2027 Supersport World Championship grid is taking shape with a diverse lineup of eight manufacturers set to clash next season. The competitive landscape shifts dramatically as Suzuki enters the fray following Motozoo's switch of manufacturers, though without a direct factory backing, while MV Agusta departs from the official entry lists for the upcoming campaign.

This major shake-up follows another massive headline made weeks prior by Chinese manufacturer QJ Motor, which secured a multi-year agreement with the most successful squad in WorldSSP history, Ten Kate Racing from the Netherlands. Riders Can Oncu and Zonta van den Goorbergh will pilot machinery vastly different from the previous iterations ahead of an entirely new model introduction slated for 2028.

Equally aggressive commitment comes from fellow Chinese brand ZX Moto, which has entrusted its track operations and development to Evan Bros. Engineers in Chongqing are working flat-out to implement Italian technical concepts, with runner-up Valentin Debise and Federico Caricasulo retained to spearhead the program across both world championship and national racing stages.

Meanwhile, established giants Kawasaki and Honda maintain their factory efforts with more streamlined resource allocations. Kawasaki completely revamps its lineup by bringing in David Salvador and Jaume Masia, whereas Honda rolls out a facelifted CBR600RR and extends its contract with Ana Carrasco in a bid to climb higher up the competitive order.

Yamaha adjusts to running two factory-supported outfits instead of three following Ten Kate's departure, relying heavily on Andrea Quadranti's championship-winning crew and Christophe Guyot's GMT94 squad. With Albert Arenas moving up to WorldSBK, the squad has secured Jeremy Alcoba as their new spearhead after a stellar podium streak at the tail end of the previous season.
