Toprak Razgatlıoglu has been forced to bring a premature end to his debut campaign in the premier class following a heavy crash during the Indonesian Grand Prix weekend. The Prima Pramac rider sustained a severe shoulder dislocation that ultimately required immediate surgical intervention in hospital.

The three-time WorldSBK champion faced a tough decision regarding his physical condition before opting for the procedure to ensure a complete recovery for future racing endeavors. Confined to a hospital bed, the Turkish star shared his deep disappointment over missing the remainder of the calendar year.

Reflecting on the unprecedented situation, Toprak Razgatlıoglu stated, "Soms gebeuren er onverwachte dingen. Watching competitive sessions from a television screen remains an unusual reality for the fierce competitor.

Despite the setback, rehabilitation efforts have already commenced under strict medical supervision. The focus has entirely shifted toward regaining full functional strength in the affected joint before attempting any physical riding duties on a grand prix motorcycle.

In the wake of the announcement, test rider Augusto Fernandez has been confirmed to step into the vacant seat for the remaining rounds of the championship to assist with ongoing development work.
