Seton Supercars Wildcard Launch Becomes Free Fan Event

After a stellar outing in Townsville, Aaron Seton is set to return to the track. Matt Stone Racing will officially launch its Chevrolet for the Supercars wildcard at Queensland Raceway, and the good news is that fans can attend for free.

The launch event is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, at 1 Boatworks Drive, Coomera, Queensland, starting at 9:00 AM AEST. It's a rare opportunity for the public to get an up-close look at the iconic livery that turned heads in Townsville.

Seton, a third-generation racer, was originally scheduled for a single solo wildcard appearance at Queensland Raceway before joining forces with Zach Bates for the endurance campaign. However, Cameron Crick's withdrawal due to health reasons opened the door for Seton to compete in Townsville, and he made the most of it with an impressive performance.

The most memorable aspect of his North Queensland outing was the stunning throwback livery, reminiscent of his father Glenn Seton's 1993 championship-winning Ford Falcon. The livery quickly became a fan favorite, and now it will return to the track at Ipswich with some updated sponsorship.

For Seton, the livery carries deep meaning. Following the passing of his grandfather Bo earlier this year, he described the livery as "a tribute not only to Dad, but to Pop as well."
