Raul Fernandez and Marco Bezzecchi Clash Again in Indonesian MotoGP Warm Up

Raul Fernandez showed lingering resentment toward Marco Bezzecchi following a fresh friction during the Warm Up session at the Indonesian Grand Prix. The paddock atmosphere reached boiling point after another heated exchange between the Spanish and Italian riders, who had already traded blows following a chaotic start in the previous day's Sprint race.

The initial drama unfolded during the chaotic start of the Indonesian GP Sprint, which saw both Raul Fernandez and Marco Bezzecchi end up crashing out. Beyond the mere fall, the Spanish rider was visibly displeased that the Italian repeatedly pushed him wide off the track at the start, openly accusing his rival in post-race media interviews without hesitation.

Responding to the accusations, Marco Bezzecchi defended himself by denying any premeditated maneuvers and insisted that his racing line during the start contained nothing irregular. However, the bad blood clearly spilled over into race day, flaring up once again during the practice starts at the conclusion of the morning Warm Up session.

During those practice starts, Raul Fernandez once again made his dissatisfaction toward Marco Bezzecchi crystal clear on the tarmac. While the exact trigger remained ambiguous—whether the Spaniard was simply annoyed by his rival's presence directly behind him or still fuming over Saturday's clashes—the temperature between the two racers remained at a high level.

Shortly before the main race lights went out, Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola addressed DAZN Spain regarding the situation. Rivola expressed sympathy for his rider and noted that the competitors had spoken to clear the air, while emphasizing internal team dynamics. Despite suffering a minor fracture to his index finger, Raul Fernandez fought through the pain barrier during the Warm Up to line up at the front of the grid.
