BIOGRAPHY

Marc Marquez is a Spanish MotoGP rider widely recognized as one of the greatest talents of all time, famously nicknamed "The Baby Alien." The 8-time World Champion (6 in the premier class) is renowned for his highly aggressive riding style, his signature elbow saves to prevent crashes, and his sheer fearlessness. After dominating the 2010s, he has now opened a new chapter, aiming for the pinnacle of glory once again with the Ducati factory.

Career Journey

Early Career & Lightweight Glory (2008–2012): Starting his career brilliantly, Marquez clinched the 125cc World Championship in 2010. After moving up to the intermediate class, he showcased extraordinary dominance and sealed the Moto2 World Championship in the 2012 season.

Phenomenal Debut & Repsol Honda Dominance (2013–2019): Marquez made his MotoGP debut in 2013 with Repsol Honda and immediately made history as a rookie who won the premier class title. Throughout this period, he was nearly untouchable, collecting a total of 6 MotoGP World Championships and shattering numerous historic records with the RC213V machine.

The Dark Era of Injuries & Heavy Struggles (2020–2023): A severe crash at Jerez in the 2020 season opener resulted in a complicated right arm injury, forcing him to undergo four major surgeries. Compounded by a Honda bike that fell increasingly behind its European rivals, Marquez endured the toughest period of his career before finally deciding to part ways with the Japanese manufacturer at the end of 2023.

Resurgence at Gresini & Factory Ducati Era (2024–Present): Marquez took a bold step by moving to the Gresini Racing satellite team (Ducati) in 2024. The decision proved to be spot on; he was instantly competitive, frequently fighting at the front, and proved his magic was fully intact. This impressive performance earned him the highly coveted seat at the factory Ducati Lenovo Team for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. He now forms a "super team" alongside Francesco Bagnaia as he hunts for his 9th world championship title.
