Marc Marquez delivered a masterclass at Motegi, completing a dominant clean sweep of the Japanese Grand Prix weekend to close right in on the championship lead.
The race intensity was immediate as Jorge Martin controlled the opening half on Michelin's reinforced hard rear tires. However, Marquez bided his time before striking with a decisive overtake at Turn 9 on lap 11, breaking Martin's resistance for good.
Further back, Marco Bezzecchi held on to secure the final podium spot despite a fierce late-race charge from Enea Bastianini, setting up an electrifying title fight heading into the next rounds.
