MotoGP, Sportrik Media - Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is set to officially unveil its 2026 MotoGP livery today in Rome, Italy, as the Valentino Rossi-owned outfit prepares to enter the new season with elevated competitive status on the MotoGP grid.
The team launch will take place at Villa Miani, in the hometown of both VR46 riders, Fabio di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli. Marketed under the theme “Black and Light”, the presentation is expected to signal a visual evolution from the fluorescent yellow and white colour scheme that has defined the team’s recent MotoGP campaigns.
The 2026 season represents a strategic step forward for VR46 after being selected to replace Pramac as Ducati’s factory-backed satellite team. This enhanced status grants di Giannantonio access to a full factory-spec Desmosedici, placing the Italian rider within Ducati’s top technical tier alongside the works Ducati Lenovo Team.

Despite that upgrade, VR46 ended last season behind both Ducati Lenovo and Gresini Racing in the constructors’ and teams’ standings. Di Giannantonio finished sixth in the riders’ championship, narrowly ahead of Morbidelli, with the pair collecting six grand prix podiums and seven Sprint podiums between them. However, neither rider managed to add to the team’s MotoGP win tally following Marco Bezzecchi’s three victories in 2023.
The upcoming campaign will also mark VR46’s third consecutive season with Indonesian state-owned energy company Pertamina as title sponsor, reinforcing the team’s commercial stability and international profile. Di Giannantonio will race the latest Desmosedici machinery alongside Marc Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia, and Alex Marquez, while Morbidelli continues with a year-old satellite-spec Ducati similar to the bike used by Fermin Aldeguer.
VR46’s livery presentation will be the second official unveil of the MotoGP 2026 pre-season, following the opening launch by Pramac Yamaha. With a revised visual identity, stronger factory backing, and clear performance targets, the Rome launch is set to provide the first concrete indication of VR46’s ambitions ahead of a pivotal MotoGP 2026 campaign.
