The race weekend at the Sepang circuit delivered intense battles as young sensation Pedro Acosta went head-to-head with the sport's most successful champions. The talented rider representing Red Bull KTM Factory Racing showcased incredible speed throughout the weekend, highlighted by his sensational victory in Saturday's sprint race. His exceptional pace naturally positioned him as one of the ultimate favorites heading into Sunday's Grand Prix in Malaysia.
However, the main race did not begin ideally for the young Spaniard. He suffered a less-than-perfect start and slipped back to fifth position during the chaotic opening moments. Demonstrating his trademark tenacity, he immediately fought back during the frantic first lap to reclaim third place and keep his podium ambitions firmly alive.
At the front of the pack, Marc Marquez executed a flawless start, effortlessly snatching the lead from his brother Alex Marquez at the opening corner. The seasoned champion immediately began extending his advantage lap by lap. Meanwhile, Acosta found himself temporarily trapped behind the Gresini machine as the Ducati's straight-line speed made overtaking attempts exceptionally difficult.

The decisive moment arrived on lap ten when Acosta successfully utilized his superior race pace to cleanly overtake Alex Marquez and secure second position. He immediately initiated a chase for the race leader, but the gap proved insurmountable as the front-runner cruised to victory with a comfortable margin over the KTM star.
Reflecting on his remarkable weekend, the young podium finisher expressed absolute satisfaction with his team's efforts. "We gave it our absolute best. Alex was extremely quick at the start, and their advantage on the straights made it very difficult for me to attempt an overtake. Securing another second place is fantastic, I am so happy for the guys at KTM as we enjoy a great finish to the season," he stated.
