Shane van Gisbergen's promising run at Gateway ended in heartbreak. For van Gisbergen, the Gateway race is a tough lesson. But his aggressive yet calculated driving offers hope for future races. Without the overtime wreck, he might have been celebrating a top-10 finish. That's racing – sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. And SVG proved he belongs among the best.
The race also highlighted the importance of strategy. Trackhouse's decision to stay out nearly paid off in a big way. Now, the team and driver must regroup and focus on the next challenge.
