Thierry Neuville and Sebastien Ogier will head into the final day of the 2026 Acropolis Rally Greece with contrasting strategies as just 4.1 seconds separate the two title contenders.
Neuville encountered a power steering problem on Saturday's final stage after his Hyundai Motorsport car lost all of its power steering oil. Despite facing a road section of more than 100 kilometres, he managed to return to service without losing significant time.
"It was just a power steering issue and we lost all the power steering oil. It was a bit tough to bring the car back. I also did three or four corners without power steering, but we didn't lose too much time."

With four stages remaining on Sunday, Neuville made it clear that his objective is to continue pushing for victory despite the demanding conditions and the constant puncture risk on Greece's rocky roads.
"The plan is to fight for first place, no doubt. We're going to try to do what we can."
"Sunday is pretty rough, especially the Power Stage. The rally is never over until you cross the finish line, and that's tomorrow afternoon. Until then, we need to keep our fingers crossed and do what we've done so far."
Ogier, meanwhile, will stick to a more cautious strategy. The Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT driver does not want to repeat the disappointment of losing a near-certain victory on the final day of Rally Portugal.
"In recent times, I have lost a victory that was pretty much secured on the final day. So on Sunday I won't change my approach, and we'll see what happens."
