MotoGP has reiterated its unwavering intention to race in Qatar on November 6-8 despite ongoing security concerns and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East region.
According to updates from the paddock, teams have been formally informed of the championship's solid plans through a recent email dispatched by the teams’ association, IRTA. This communication directly follows the organization's public stance that all operational preparations for the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix remain firmly on course.
Originally slated for an April slot, the Lusail round was previously postponed to November due to the Middle East conflict, requiring strategic shifts to both the Portuguese and Valencia events to accommodate the revised calendar.

Addressing the paddock during the Indonesian round, MotoGP deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta emphasized the governing body's primary focus. "We're planning towards going to Qatar, but obviously the safety and well-being of all staff and fans is the number one priority, so we'll continue to monitor the situation," he stated.
With the championship battle reaching its absolute climax, the consequences of the upcoming rounds carry immense weight. A razor-thin two-point gap currently separates Aprilia's Jorge Martin from Ducati's star, making the Qatar weekend the pivotal third leg of the final five showdowns.
