Motorsport culture frequently extends far beyond the racetrack, diving deep into driver lifestyle, fashion, travel, design, and exclusive items that make racing much more than just a sport. Dedicated fans of Ferrari no longer need to purchase an expensive supercar to spend a fortune on high-end Prancing Horse merchandise and collectibles.
Luxury writing instrument maker Montblanc has teamed up with the Maranello headquarters once again to launch a brand new writing masterpiece priced far above standard regular pens. The special edition Meisterstuck Great Masters Ferrari Tailor Made Inedita retails for USD 4,300 in the United States, making it an exquisite accessory that costs more than some used cars on the market.
For buyers who prefer not to deal with the messy ink refilling process of a fountain pen, the brand also offers a USD 4,000 rollerball version, alongside a ballpoint pen available directly through Ferrari's official store for a similar price tag. For comparison, Montblanc's classic gold-coated Meisterstuck 149 fountain pen, one of the brand's most popular products, is typically listed at USD 1,105 on its US website.

So what does the extra price tag actually get you? The answer lies in high-grade carbon fibre inspired by Ferrari's Tailor Made customisation program. This personalization initiative lets vehicle owners choose unique colours, materials, and finishes across three core themes: Classica, Inedita, and Scuderia, with Inedita standing out as the most experimental among them.
This design philosophy explains the carbon fibre cap and barrel featuring woven blue threads throughout the structure. All metal fittings are finished in a glossy black PVD coating, accompanied by a gorgeous aluminum Prancing Horse emblem on the barrel and a specially shaped clip replacing the traditional Meisterstuck design.
The nib is handcrafted from solid 18-carat gold and coated in ruthenium, while the iconic Montblanc emblem atop the cap utilizes Azzurro Dino resin. According to the Italian marque, this specific blue shade honours the historic 1969 Ferrari Dino 246, named after Enzo Ferrari's late son, Alfredo Dino Ferrari.
Collectors who wish to acquire the complete matching set must be prepared to spend even more. Ferrari also sells a coordinating Inedita notepad priced at USD 185 alongside a dedicated pen case for USD 595, bringing the total cost of the entire luxury collection to just over USD 9,000.
