Ahead of the crucial round at the Lusail International Circuit, MotoGP riders are now focusing on the physical and technical challenges ahead. Following the drama in Sepang, Aprilia's Jorge Martin is determined to return to the track despite still being hampered by a distal radius fracture in his right hand.
Martin, who attempted to push through the pain in Malaysia, has since undergone intensive treatment in Spain. He expressed optimism despite the need to adapt to his physical condition. "It is a shame not to be able to continue the weekend in Sepang, but just having the opportunity to try was an achievement," said Martin. He added, "I returned to Spain to continue the treatment I needed to recover from the injury and arrive in Qatar in the best possible condition. Now we will see how my body reacts, and starting this Thursday, we will begin working with Aprilia to see how far we can go."
Meanwhile, Marco Bezzecchi arrives with a mission of redemption. After an underwhelming performance on Sunday in Malaysia, where he lost a podium position due to tactical errors, the Italian rider is ambitious to perform more consistently in Qatar. Bezzecchi acknowledged that he must learn from the Sepang incident to ensure it does not happen again.

"The main race on Sunday in Malaysia was not easy, so I want to correct those mistakes," Bezzecchi remarked reflectively. He emphasized his focus for this final series, "I am happy to be going to Qatar. It is a circuit that I really like. We will try to perform well from the start, have a good weekend, and finish the race as well as possible before returning to Europe."
The situation in the paddock is currently quite dynamic, especially with the scheduling uncertainty that had loomed due to the geopolitical situation in the Middle East. However, with confirmation that the race will proceed, riders are now fully focused on bike set-up and tire management at a circuit known for its demanding aerodynamic performance.
