The EICMA exhibition in Milan served as a grand stage for Ducati to celebrate a century of history. Amidst the festivities, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali highlighted the remarkable performance of Marc Marquez, who is now on the verge of clinching his 10th world title at the Lusail International Circuit. Following their Superbike title success, the Borgo Panigale factory's focus has shifted entirely to the Qatar MotoGP GP.
Domenicali acknowledged that Marquez's journey this season is a testament to extraordinary resilience. After struggling with the aftermath of a serious injury early in the year, the Spanish rider has mounted a stunning comeback, putting Ducati in a prime position in the standings. "Our position in the standings is clearly different compared to six months ago," Domenicali stated, as reported by GPone.
He continued, "I think this is an incredible resurgence, a demonstration of persistence, determination, skill, and competence. And also a bit of luck, which never hurts, especially because Marc suffered the impact of a very serious injury at the beginning of the season and was not in his best condition. But the championship is not over yet; we must remain very focused because MotoGP is difficult and complex. We must concentrate on not making mistakes and doing the best job as a team. If we achieve victory, we will have time to celebrate later."

Meanwhile, the paddock dynamics at the circuit are heating up. Amidst race preparations, news has emerged regarding other riders, such as Pedro Acosta's upcoming move to Ducati, and the absence of key figures like Alex Marquez, who is still recovering from shoulder surgery. This situation adds pressure on the team to maintain focus amidst high expectations.
Domenicali emphasized that Ducati's success is rooted in the unbreakable bond between the racetrack and mass production. "I believe Ducati is a brand that never forgets its fundamental DNA: having a very close relationship between competition and product," he concluded. With technology continuously transferred from race bikes to the road, Ducati is now at the peak of its performance, ready to face the final challenge in Qatar with high caution.
