Jack Miller was left fuming after the Austrian MotoGP Sprint at the Red Bull Ring on Saturday (19/9/2026). The Pramac Yamaha rider cited electronic issues that severely hampered his acceleration, calling for drastic changes.

Starting from 21st, Miller dropped to the back on the opening lap. Intrusive traction and wheelie control further restricted the already underpowered V4. "The bike itself was behaving okay, but we've got big issues with the electronics," he said.

Miller explained that he could brake very late and do what was needed, but on corner exit, TC and anti-wheelie cut too much power. "I didn't enjoy one lap of the race," he admitted. "We need to understand the electronic issues I've had since Friday morning, which we haven't been able to solve. We need to make some drastic changes to try and understand how we can make it accelerate better."

As a result, Miller finished 20th, over 20 seconds behind race winner Jorge Martin. He was even last after the start, experiencing a yo-yo effect: losing out on acceleration, catching up on braking, but ultimately losing time.

Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo was the top Yamaha in 12th, 13 seconds behind Martin. Miller praised Quartararo's performance, calling his qualifying lap of 1m28.6s "nothing short of a miracle".

Other Yamaha riders, Toprak Razgatlioglu (17th), Alex Rins (18th), and Miller (20th), all finished more than 20 seconds back. This underscores that the issue is not limited to Miller but affects the entire Yamaha squad.

Miller hopes for a fix before the five-lap warm-up on Sunday morning. "We're going to try and fix it for tomorrow morning," he concluded. With limited time, Pramac Yamaha must act quickly to be more competitive in the main race.
