Lewis Hamilton topped the final practice session of the United States Grand Prix weekend at Circuit of The Americas. The British driver posted a benchmark lap time of 1m 34.893s to lead the field in a closely contested session ahead of the all-important qualifying hour.
The session started quietly as drivers gradually built up track temperature and rubber. Hamilton was the earliest among the top four teams to venture out on soft compound tires, signaling Ferrari's clear intent to maximize single-lap pace and data collection before the grid-deciding sessions later in the day.
Meanwhile, it proved to be another frustrating outing for Max Verstappen, who aired complaints over his gear shifts via team radio. The Dutchman faced handling struggles and a brief front wing change, ending his session with a minor spin that highlighted Red Bull's ongoing setup hurdles.

As the clock wound down into the final twenty minutes, Hamilton delivered his decisive run. Overcoming a slower opening sector, he unleashed phenomenal pace through the middle and final sections of the lap to break into the 1m 34s barrier, firmly establishing Ferrari as the package to beat.
Track limits also emerged as a major talking point with numerous lap times deleted during the hour, emphasizing precision as the ultimate key to success when the lights go green for qualifying.
