Q1: Slater Struggles, Ugochukwu in Contention
In a tense Q1 session, Freddie Slater endured a nightmare. The Trident driver was under investigation for a maneuver on Giusti and impeding Taponen, but worse was to come as technical issues left him down in 17th. Consequently, he will start the Sprint Race and Feature Race 1 from far back. Meanwhile, Ugochukwu of Campos was solid and will line up eighth for the Sprint and fourth for Feature 1.

In Q2, Slater continued to battle technical gremlins and eventually had to concede. Ugochukwu briefly set the fastest time, but Taponen pipped him by just 21 milliseconds. Nevertheless, he will start from the front for Feature 2, while Slater faces a rear-grid start.
