George Russell's contract is understood to run into 2027, but its structure could still allow for renegotiation next year. Kimi Antonelli, only confirmed for 2026, is tied for this season only, leaving his future open.
Red Bull: Verstappen Key Until 2030, Hadjar Evaluated
Max Verstappen surprised many by signing an extension until 2030, ending long-standing speculation about his future. Meanwhile, Isack Hadjar, who replaced Yuki Tsunoda, is only confirmed for 2026, with no guarantee of continuation.
Ferrari: Leclerc and Hamilton with Long-Term Commitments
Charles Leclerc has extended his contract until at least 2030, making it the longest current F1 deal. Lewis Hamilton, who joined in 2025, is expected to stay until 2027, though the exact duration has never been officially announced.
Williams: Albon and Sainz Confirmed for 2027
Williams announced that Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz will remain with the team until 2027, although Albon's contract details remain murky due to potential exit clauses. Sainz, a new signing, has secured an extension for 2027.
With over half the grid out of contract this year, 2026 is predicted to be a fierce negotiation period. Top teams will look to secure the best drivers, while young talents have the chance to move up. These decisions will shape the future of F1 for years to come.
