The iconic partnership between manufacturer Ducati and the LEGO Group has officially entered a thrilling new chapter for off-road racing enthusiasts. Both renowned brands have officially unveiled a brand-new LEGO Technic set dedicated to the premier motocross machine from Borgo Panigale. This home-build replica brings the competitive atmosphere of the dirt tracks straight into the rooms of young automotive fans and adult collectors alike.
Consisting of a total of 457 precision building elements, this LEGO Technic set is specifically designed for enthusiasts aged 10 and above. The assembly project offers an original educational medium to deeply explore the fundamentals of two-wheeled mechanical engineering. Young builders can discover how a masterclass of engineering works in practice through a step-by-step assembly process that mirrors the real-world machine.
In terms of design, this miniature model faithfully reproduces the aggressive character and racing aesthetics of the original factory motorcycle in great detail. Various functional mechanical features are embedded within the construction set to deliver an interactive building experience. Among these functional highlights are a working steering system, an engine featuring a chain-driven mechanism connected to the rear wheel, and operational front and rear suspension units.

The arrival of this creative project also extends the track record of strategic cooperation between the Italian motorcycle manufacturer and the Danish toy company, which began back in 2020 with the replica of the Panigale V4 R. This time, the main spotlight shines on the Desmo450 MX Factory, representing the competition version of the very first Borgo Panigale motocross bike equipped with their signature desmodromic valve distribution system.
Alessandro Cicognani, Corporate Partnerships, Licensing and Merchandising Director at Ducati, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion of this cross-industry collaborative project. With our foray into the off-road world, we have opened a new chapter in Ducati's history by bringing our racing DNA to new disciplines, stated Cicognani regarding the significance of this special edition launch.
Cicognani added that the choice of this motocross model emphasizes corporate philosophy continuity. We are particularly pleased that the LEGO Group has chosen the Desmo450 MX Factory to continue a collaboration that started in 2020 with the Panigale V4 R, as both represent the same philosophy based on innovation, performance, and racing passion, he added.
Meanwhile, Davide Cajani, Marketing Director of LEGO Italy, shared his perspective on the strong alignment of values between the two major brands. We are truly excited about this collaboration which brings together two great passions, building and motorcycles, highlighted Cajani, pointing out the strong synergy between the popular brands.
Cajani concluded by emphasizing that this construction project serves as a high tribute to engineering excellence. This set celebrates everything we share, the passion for engineering, attention to detail, and the pleasure of turning a hobby into something to build, he concluded.
