Tensions once again surrounded the Red Bull camp following a dramatic race in Austin, where Max Verstappen had to deal with recurring technical issues aboard his RB22. The Dutch driver missed out on a victory that initially seemed within reach, ultimately crossing the finish line in third place after a fiercely contested Grand Prix.
The main issue triggering the frustration of the world champion was not only the team's strategic decisions from the pit wall, but also the failure of the radio communication system. This technical glitch has seemingly become a chronic problem plaguing the Red Bull garage in recent rounds, severely disrupting coordination between the driver and the pit crew.
During the race in Singapore, veteran race engineer Giampiero Lambiase already struggled to receive radio messages from the four-time world champion. The exact same issue happened again in Texas, this time affecting Verstappen's new trackside engineer, Tom Hart, who faced constant difficulties communicating during crucial moments.

This complicated situation led the #3 driver to vent his anger openly during the post-race press conference. Using sharp irony, he criticized the team's communication equipment performance, which he deemed unacceptable and detrimental to their overall weekend.
“Is this the second time? No, it is not the second time,” Verstappen stated, clarifying the recurring nature of the issue. “It has already happened I don't even know how many other times this year. Maybe we should start communicating with hand gestures. It would probably even cost less. It's a disaster. Yes, it's a disaster. To be honest, it is really frustrating.”
