F1 Academy and Disney+ have officially revealed an upcoming documentary special, offering fans an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look into the all-female racing series. Following the success of previous series on competing platforms, this brand new special aims to capture the raw emotions, intense competition, and personal lives of the championship's rising stars.
Entitled The Pursuit: F1 ACADEMY, the documentary is scheduled to premiere exclusively worldwide on November 19, strategically slated just ahead of the high-stakes season finale at the iconic Las Vegas Grand Prix. Produced in association with ESPN, the feature-length special will provide comprehensive insight into the intense 2025 racing season and the rigorous journey undertaken by the competitors.
The documentary closely follows the championship's top contenders from the previous year, highlighting the remarkable progress of standout drivers such as Dorianne Pin, Maya Weug, Chloe Chambers, and Alisha Palmowski. Viewers will witness firsthand the immense pressures of competing on the global motorsport stage, including the sacrifices, technical setbacks, and triumphs rarely shown during standard broadcast weekends.
Series Managing Director Susie Wolff emphasized the critical importance of sharing these authentic stories to inspire the next generation of female racers. Wolff noted that the collaboration with Disney+ provides a massive global platform to showcase the harsh realities and incredible rewards of pursuing a professional career in top-tier motorsport.
This ongoing partnership between Disney, Formula 1, and the junior series signifies a major step forward in promoting greater representation, confidence, and career pathways for women in racing. Motorsport enthusiasts and casual viewers alike can look forward to a compelling narrative highlighting determination and resilience when the special drops later this November.
