Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi insists that the MotoGP world championship battle remains wide open despite Marc Marquez seizing a crucial ten-point lead at the top of the standings.
The championship landscape shifted dramatically following a thrilling Sprint race at Phillip Island, where Marquez climbed to the summit of the standings for the third time this season after a fierce duel culminated in his title rival crashing out.
Following the unfortunate accident, the rider was diagnosed with a fractured right wrist, ruling him out of the scheduled Sunday Grand Prix. However, heavy rain and poor visibility forced race organizers to cancel the main event entirely to ensure medical helicopters could operate safely.

“For Ducati it's obvious that we miss an opportunity, but the first thing we are always thinking about is rider safety,” Tardozzi stated regarding the difficult decision to cancel the Sunday race session.
Looking ahead, Tardozzi praised the extraordinary determination of his competitors and emphasized that Marquez will maintain a relentless attacking mindset as the championship enters its final crucial rounds.
