The fierce battle in the Supercars championship reached a boiling point after a gruelling and wet weekend on the streets of Surfers Paradise shook up the pit lane order. Grove Racing continues to lead the way and hold the top spot in pit lane following a demanding 500km of racing during the Gold Coast 500.
However, a difficult weekend for Kai Allen not only ruled him out of Finals contention, but brought the gap in the teams’ standings down to just 102 points as Triple Eight picked up a vital race win courtesy of Broc Feeney.
Meanwhile, Tickford Racing held onto third in the standings, though by an increasingly narrow margin. A brilliant win for Chaz Mostert and a pair of top-five finishes on Sunday brought Tickford’s buffer down to just 34 points over Walkinshaw TWG Racing heading into the next round at Sandown.

Further down the order, Dick Johnson Racing held station in fifth position, with Brodie Kostecki scoring a strong top-10 result and a podium appearance. At the same time, Team 18 managed to slightly close the gap thanks to David Reynolds securing a second-place finish on Saturday.
Midfield battles also shifted as Brad Jones Racing leapfrogged Matt Stone Racing for seventh in the standings, largely driven by two top-five finishes from Andre Heimgartner, setting up a thrilling end to the 2026 season.
