The competitive world of GT4 racing delivered another thrilling chapter on the tarmac as Cam McLeod and his teammate clinched their first victory together as a duo in the category. Piloting the #62 Ford Mustang, they had to fend off a ferocious late charge from the chasing pair of Lochie Dalton and Aaron Cameron in the #27 Mustang. The leaders managed to hold firm despite heavy traffic from lapped cars complicating the final stages of the race.

Amidst the fierce battle at the front, the biggest headline belonged to the team backed by Chaz Mostert, which officially sealed its third consecutive championship title. Crossing the line 11th outright and ninth in class was more than enough to mathematically secure the crown over their closest rivals, Blake Purdie and Jobe Stewart, with one race remaining in the season. Remarkable consistency across the calendar has proven to be the foundation of their ongoing dominance.

The race itself burst into life immediately from a frantic start, featuring a four-wide dash down to the opening corner. The front-row sitters lost their early advantage as hard-charging rivals capitalized on the chaotic first-lap sequence. With dry conditions replacing the wet weather seen during qualifying, the pole-sitting Porsche struggled to maintain its earlier pace, ultimately surrendering the lead after just four laps.

Tension boiled over shortly after the 10-minute mark when a heavy accident on the back straight brought out the safety car, followed swiftly by a red flag. Wheel-to-wheel contact sent Jensen Shearer off the road at high speed, resulting in a violent impact with the tyre wall at Turn 6 and forcing a lengthy delay to repair the damaged Armco barrier. Once proceedings resumed following a 20-minute stoppage, the compulsory pit stop window shuffled the order significantly.

As the race headed toward its conclusion, drivers fought hard through the field to secure vital championship points. Blake Purdie and Jobe Stewart successfully held onto third position in their Audi R8 to solidify their standing, while William Exton and Jack Johnson brought their McLaren home in fourth ahead of Daniel Frougas in fifth.
