Cadillac may be Formula 1's newest team, but their ambition is clear: to become the best team in the championship. In an exclusive interview with RacingNews365, Graeme Lowdon, team principal, outlined the long-term strategy to attract top talent and build a high-performance culture.
Since joining this season, Cadillac has shown impressive growth. With Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez at the wheel, they have often fought on the brink of Q2 and even outperformed Aston Martin—a team full of big names. Though the first points have yet to come, this progress signals that Cadillac is not just a grid filler.
Building for the Future
Lowdon emphasized that the key to success is creating an attractive working environment. "We want to be the team that everyone wants to join, be proud to be part of, and never want to leave," he said. This philosophy is already bearing fruit, with the arrival of Paul Monaghan, former Red Bull chief engineer, as proof of Cadillac's appeal.

"I hope we have shown bold ambition," Lowdon said. "There are many people who find this challenge appealing—being part of something new." For Lowdon, the right environment will attract the best people, and results will follow.
Though the journey is still long, Cadillac is clearly playing for the long term. With a solid strategy and quality recruits, they are targeting the top of F1, not just midfield survival.
