Andrea Kimi Antonelli set the pace in the only practice session for this weekend's Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver clocked a 1:12.949s lap, edging out Lando Norris and George Russell.
The session was disrupted by intermittent rain, prompting varied strategies. Nico Hulkenberg was among the first out on intermediates, but the rain quickly stopped, forcing him to pit for slicks.
There were incidents too: Carlos Sainz ran wide at Turn 13, while home hero Max Verstappen struggled with oversteer, running through the gravel.

Antonelli himself spun 360 degrees early on but recovered to find his rhythm in the closing stages. Ferrari briefly led with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, but they were demoted as Antonelli and Norris turned up the pace.
This result puts Antonelli in a strong position ahead of qualifying, with the track expected to remain challenging. The championship leader's pace is a clear statement of intent.
