The Asian Le Mans Series, organized under the banner of the ACO alongside the European Le Mans Series, continues to be a staple of endurance racing. With events in Abu Dhabi and Dubai becoming increasingly difficult to plan due to well-known regional reasons, the upcoming 2026/27 season is scheduled to take place in Southern Europe.
Adding to the excitement, the 2026/27 season will mark a historic milestone as the Asian satellite series of the FIA WEC features Hypercars for the very first time. AF Corse and Cetilar Racing are stepping up to the challenge by fielding a pair of Ferrari 499P prototypes, with Cetilar Racing receiving full technical support directly from AF Corse's operations.
Behind the wheel of the primary AF Corse entry, Luis Perez Companc will share driving duties alongside factory drivers Nicklas Nielsen and Yifei Ye. This driver lineup is also visually reflected in the car's distinctive livery, featuring a dominant blue color scheme accented with yellow, heavily reminiscent of the machine Perez Companc previously drove in the American IMSA series.

Meanwhile, the sister Hypercar fielded under the Cetilar Racing banner features its own formidable driver trio. Roberto Lacorte, Nicola Lacorte, and official Ferrari factory driver Antonio Fuoco have been locked in to pilot the machine as the team prepares for the new championship challenge ahead.
Dilansir dari Speedweek, the expansion of the Hypercar class into this regional series represents a major evolution for ACO-sanctioned winter endurance racing, offering fans a competitive preview of top-tier prototype action in a newly adapted European-based calendar format.
