After a long summer break, the WRC is finally back in action. This time, the world's top rally contenders are heading to South America for the first time in the 2026 season. Two consecutive rounds are scheduled on the continent before returning to Europe, with Sardinia as the next destination. But before that, all eyes are on Paraguay as it plays host this weekend.
The third edition of Rally Paraguay comes at a pivotal moment. Elfyn Evans still leads the championship, but his advantage over Sami Pajari is only 30 points. Pajari, who just claimed a home victory in Finland, is clearly aiming for another strong result to keep the pressure on. With plenty of season left, the South American round could be a turning point in the title fight.
Toyota has a double mission in Paraguay. In addition to maintaining its position in the drivers' standings, the Japanese manufacturer also has a chance to secure the constructors' title early. If it can score six points more than its closest rival, Toyota will clinch its tenth constructors' championship in history—a milestone the team is eagerly anticipating.

Good news comes from Sebastien Ogier. The reigning world champion is officially on the entry list for Paraguay, after his participation was in doubt following a heavy crash in Finland. Ogier will once again be joined by Vincent Landais, who was replaced last round by Julien Ingrassia due to a family matter. Ogier's presence adds more competitiveness at the top, even though he trails significantly in the standings.
Due to the significant time difference, fans in some regions will need to stay up late. Most stages will take place in the evening or early morning local time. However, several stages can be watched live via RallyTV streaming, and some will be broadcast on pay-TV channels. Full schedule details are available in the table below.
