These incidents, including a red flag caused by Antonelli’s crash, disrupted the session’s flow.
Despite these challenges, Verstappen’s pace suggests Red Bull is in contention with McLaren and Ferrari, represented by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who both finished in the top five.
Outlook for Qualifying and Race
Verstappen’s FP2 result positions him well for qualifying on September 6, 2025. The RB21’s upgrades have enhanced its competitiveness, potentially allowing Red Bull to challenge for pole. However, Ferrari, buoyed by home support, and McLaren remain strong contenders.
