The sprint qualifying session at Marina Bay delivered pure drama as Max Verstappen once again proved his exceptional capability. Under the sparkling lights of the night in Singapore, the Dutch driver secured a brilliant pole position after extracting every ounce of performance from his car during the SQ3 phase. This remarkable feat certainly leaves his rivals with a massive headache if they hope to halt his momentum in the upcoming short race.

The four-time world champion admitted that his machine felt significantly more alive once he bolted on the soft compound tires for the crucial part of qualifying. Although he faced a brief investigation for a potential yellow flag infringement, the stewards ultimately decided against handing out any penalties. Given his stellar form at the front of the pack, stopping his charge in the sprint will prove to be an extremely tough task.

Meanwhile, Scuderia Ferrari initially displayed very promising pace while running on the medium tires. However, when the entire field transitioned to soft rubber in SQ3, Charles Leclerc and his teammate could not replicate that advantage. Leclerc suggested that their lap time deficit might stem from completing only a single cooldown lap, whereas competitors completed two.

George Russell delivered a stellar lap to secure second place using the older setup, while his teammate struggled further down the order. This performance gap leaves the engineering squad with plenty of data to analyze overnight.
