Formula 1, Sportrik Media - The second day of the opening 2026 Formula 1 pre-season test is underway at the Bahrain International Circuit, with teams continuing preparations under the sport’s sweeping new technical regulations.
Running began at 08:00 local time as all 11 teams resumed programmes focused on long runs, energy deployment mapping and aerodynamic correlation. With the 2026 regulations introducing a 50-50 split between electrical and combustion power, early-session mileage remains critical to understanding reliability, thermal management, and baseline performance.
The Bahrain test forms the first of two three-day sessions ahead of the season opener at the Australian Grand Prix on March 8. Across six total days of running, teams aim to validate core systems and refine set-ups before competitive action begins.
