MotoGP has officially released the 2027 season calendar, offering an early look at the upcoming competition. The announcement comes while the 2026 season is still ongoing and no champion has been decided in any category. However, this information is crucial for teams, riders, and fans to plan their attendance at each Grand Prix. The season will kick off in Buriram, Thailand, then move to Qatar on March 14, followed by Brazil, Argentina (Oscar y Juan Galvez circuit subject to homologation), and the United States (subject to contract).
Entering the European season, Jerez remains the opening host as in previous years. After that, the calendar continues to France, Italy, Catalonia, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic (Brno), Great Britain, Austria, San Marino, Aragon, and Portugal. The summer break is scheduled from July 18 at Brno to August 15 at Silverstone. After Portimao, which was recently extended until 2029, four Asian races will take place: Japan (October 17), Malaysia (October 24), Indonesia (October 31), and Australia (November 14) with the debut of the Adelaide street circuit (pending homologation).
Valencia will close the season on November 28, marking the end of the 850cc era. This technical change has been known for a while, and now with a clear calendar, preparations for the 2027 season are in full swing. Although there is no champion yet in 2026, the paddock's focus is starting to split between finishing the current competition and welcoming new regulations.
With the season starting in Thailand and ending in Valencia, fans can start planning their trips. The combination of classic and new circuits like Adelaide offers a variety of challenges for riders. Teams must also adjust their logistics strategies, especially with consecutive races outside Europe.
