The twelfth and final round of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship season at the Jerez circuit kicked off with an action-packed Saturday of intense racing. Nicolo Bulega once again proved his class by securing a brilliant victory in Race 1, adding another stellar performance to his remarkable championship campaign.
Ducati's sheer dominance was on full display under the Spanish sun. According to the official race highlights and reports, the Italian manufacturer stamped its absolute authority on the field by locking out the entire top seven positions in a truly astonishing display of engineering and rider prowess.
The writing was arguably on the wall earlier in the day when the Italian star captured his eleventh pole position of the season during the Superpole qualifying session. Maintaining that incredible momentum into the afternoon, he managed to control the pace from the front, leaving the chasing pack scrambling to find answers.

Further down the order, the supporting classes delivered their own dramatic subplots. Twan Smits endured a challenging day after suffering a crash during proceedings, though the Dutch rider continues to make headlines amid strong links to a future WorldSBK adventure following a successful campaign.
Action earlier in the weekend also saw Alex Lowes setting a blistering pace to top the third free practice session on Saturday morning. However, when the lights went out for the afternoon showdown, it was all about the relentless charge of Bulega and the dominant Borgo Panigale machines.
