The international motorcycle racing paddock witnessed an emotional transition as Michael Galinski officially concluded his long-standing journey in the world championship with the MGM team. Following the World Superbike season finale at the Jerez circuit, the racing outfit officially closed its doors after six years on the global stage to embrace a fresh chapter in German domestic racing starting in 2027.

This major decision marks a full transition for the veteran manager to dedicate all his energy to his new role as technical director for the relaunch of the Internationalen Deutschen Meisterschaft, commonly known as IDM. Reflecting on the final weekend in the paddock, he acknowledged the bittersweet feeling while celebrating their final moments together on track.

Looking back at their six-year global campaign, Galinski expressed profound gratitude to everyone who made the journey possible and to the loyal fans who stood by them. "Am letzten Rennwochenende haben wir das alles ein bisschen mit Wehmut gesehen, aber nichtsdestotrotz hatten wir noch einmal Spaß mit Loris Baz. Wir sind happy, die Saison ist rum," he noted, fondly recalling their time working alongside Loris Baz during the final round.

He emphasized that closing the World Superbike chapter opens new doors for his workshop operations and his ambassadorial role. "When one door closes, another one opens. I am now concentrating on my new job in the IDM and will also be travelling as an ambassador and supporter for PVM," he added, looking forward to focusing on tuning programs and engine overhauls.

Meanwhile, the spotlight in junior development also shone brightly on Robin Siegert following an impressive campaign in Italy. The reigning Moto4 Northern Cup winner earned high praise from seasoned team boss Jochen Kiefer, who famously guided riders like Stefan Bradl and Danny Kent to world championship glory.

Kiefer lauded the youngster's remarkable development and dominant run throughout the domestic and European classes. "Uber den Moto4 Northern Cup braucht man nicht viel sagen. Das geht nicht besser. Mit so einem Durchmarsch hat keiner gerechnet. Das war einfach genial," Kiefer stated, highlighting the extraordinary success achieved during an unforgettable racing season.
