Marc Marquez stormed to victory in the MotoGP Misano Sprint 2026, taking the lead from Marco Bezzecchi at the start and never looking back. The win sends a clear message that the title fight is far from over.
From the moment the lights went out, Marquez was unstoppable. He dived past Bezzecchi into Turn 1 and controlled the pace with surgical precision. None could match his consistency at the Marco Simoncelli Circuit, not even Jorge Martin, who had to settle for third and watch his rival slash the gap.
For Marquez, it’s proof that his adaptation to the Ducati Desmosedici GP26 is now complete. “I felt comfortable from practice,” he said. “The team did an amazing job, and we knew the Sprint was a golden chance to pressure Martin.”

The victory brings Marquez to 249 points, just 14 behind Martin’s 263. Bezzecchi remains in the hunt with 241. With eight rounds left, the three-way battle promises to intensify.
Martin acknowledged Marquez’s speed was hard to match. “We lost a bit of grip early on, but the podium is still positive,” he said. “We need to keep scoring maximum points.”
Behind the top three, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez delivered solid rides to finish fourth and fifth. Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia remains eighth with 143 points, far adrift of his teammate.
With this result, MotoGP 2026 is heating up. Marquez isn’t giving up, and Martin knows the title won’t come easy. The next round in Austria will be another crucial test.
