Marco Bezzecchi has been given the green light to race at the British MotoGP. After a medical check at Silverstone on Thursday (6/8), the Aprilia Racing rider was declared fit and ready to battle on track.
The broken left collarbone he suffered at Sachsenring last month was a nightmare that nearly buried his 2026 ambitions. The crash forced him to miss the Tissot Sprint and German GP, which ultimately cost him the lead in the World Championship standings.
However, Bezzecchi showed a fighter's mentality. Shortly after surgery, he rushed back to the track. A test at Misano proved his determination to recover and be competitive. Now, at Silverstone, he carries a big mission: to close the 22-point gap to his teammate, Jorge Martin, who now leads the standings.

Silverstone itself holds sweet memories for Bezzecchi. It was here that he claimed his first victory with Aprilia Racing in the 2025 season. The fast and physically demanding circuit has always suited his aggressive riding style.
With his physical condition back to full fitness, Bezzecchi has a great chance to cut the points deficit and become a serious title contender again. The pressure is clearly on his shoulders, but if he can perform like he did at Misano, it's not impossible that he will be the protagonist this weekend.
