Kimi Antonelli tightened his grip on the Formula 1 standings with a dominant victory at the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA). Although the Italian driver must wait a little longer to officially claim his maiden World Drivers' Championship due to results elsewhere, his flawless masterclass behind the wheel showcased his immense talent.
When the lights went out, the Mercedes charger made a blistering start down to Turn 1. Immediately, Max Verstappen found himself under intense pressure from both Ferrari cars. That pressure paid off as Charles Leclerc seized second place through the opening complex, while Lewis Hamilton nearly joined his teammate in the early skirmishes.
Verstappen, however, managed to find his pace by Turn 15, diving back down the inside of Leclerc's red machine to reclaim lost ground. All this frantic action allowed the race leader to pull over two seconds clear by the end of the very first lap, establishing an early command over the rest of the grid.

The Silver Arrows maintained their composure despite a brief Virtual Safety Car intervention and an early-lap investigation involving George Russell. Sticking diligently to their pre-race strategy, the team's medium-compound tire choice successfully fended off the chasing pack throughout the opening stints.
Holding a commanding 123-point advantage with only 125 points left on the table, the young championship leader now turns his sights firmly toward Mexico City. Only one more step remains for him to secure his historic maiden Drivers' Championship crown.
