Isack Hadjar criticised Red Bull's start problems after the 2026 Silverstone Sprint, where he lost positions on the opening lap and eventually finished ninth, just outside the points.
Hadjar and team-mate Max Verstappen both made poor getaways in the British Grand Prix Sprint. That immediately placed both drivers under pressure, particularly on a circuit where recovery depends heavily on high-speed performance and tyre management.
"Those starts, it’s the same story now, it’s just annoying, guys. I know it’s going to be my fault again, I bet so," Hadjar said over team radio.

Hadjar's frustration had not eased after he climbed out of the car. Speaking to Viaplay, he suggested Red Bull still does not understand the recurring start issue that has made races difficult from the opening phase.
"We can’t get starts. We just don’t understand it," Hadjar said.
"There is no point going to a race if you know you’re going to lose four places straight away. In my case, I lost even more than that. It’s shocking, all the time," he added.
Verstappen also endured a difficult Sprint after falling to sixth despite starting from third. That strengthened the indication that the start issue was not isolated to one car, but a factor affecting both Red Bull drivers in the short Formula 1 race.
Hadjar then missed out on the final point after a late battle with Liam Lawson. Lawson's defensive move was investigated by the stewards, but the final decision was only a warning, leaving Hadjar ninth and without points from the Silverstone Sprint.
The start problem is now a key area for Red Bull to review before the next Silverstone session. With Verstappen and Hadjar both losing ground in the opening phase, the team's focus will be on a technical and procedural response to prevent the weakness from damaging its chances again in the main race.
