Broc Feeney and the rest of the grid have been warned as Brodie Kostecki successfully secured his spot in the 2025 Sandown semi-finals. Hard-fought results at Surfers Paradise ultimately paid off despite the reigning championship contender admitting to feeling intense pre-race anxiety throughout a physically and mentally demanding weekend on the Gold Coast.
Car reliability and bodywork integrity were pushed to the absolute limit during Sunday's grueling 250km encounter. Kostecki crossed the finish line with his front splitter in absolute tatters after taking heavy beatings against the tyre bundles located in the notoriously tricky beach chicane section.
"I felt more sick today going into the race than I did prior to Bathurst. I’m really glad to get through this part," Kostecki confessed after wrapping up strong seventh and second-place finishes that safely propelled him into the next playoff bracket as the third seed.

A combination of minor driving errors and the looming threat of track limits penalties effectively thwarted any realistic chance of mounting a late-race charge against Feeney for the ultimate race victory. "I just made too many mistakes. It put us out a little bit and damaged my splitter," he explained candidly regarding the incident.
Despite the setbacks, team management remains exceptionally confident in their overall package moving toward the business end of the season. Team principal Mark Fenning lauded the weekend as a masterclass in risk management, while stand-in engineer Tom Moore emphasized that their core vehicle philosophy continues to deliver competitive pace regardless of external weather shifts.
