After celebrating Kimi Antonelli securing his status as the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history, Mercedes has shifted its full attention to Brazil. For team principal Toto Wolff, the celebrations in Mexico City were merely the first chapter of their grand ambition this season.
Wolff emphasized that while Antonelli has made history, the Brackley-based squad still has one crucial task left to complete: securing the constructors' championship. "Winning the world championship is an incredible achievement, particularly at this stage of Kimi's career, and he thoroughly deserves the moment," Wolff stated.
However, the spotlight is now firmly on the Interlagos circuit. Mercedes currently holds a 126-point lead over Ferrari in the standings. The scenario is straightforward yet demanding: Mercedes needs to outscore Ferrari by at least three points this weekend to clinch the teams' title.

Wolff is well aware that the challenge in Brazil will be intense. "Our focus, though, has already moved to São Paulo. We came into this season wanting to fight for both championships, and there is still a job left to finish. The teams' title is about the performance of the entire operation, both at the track and back in Brackley and Brixworth," he added.
Meanwhile, Ferrari continues to apply pressure despite the opening-lap clash between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in Mexico. Wolff stressed the importance of flawless execution from the very first practice session. "Nothing is won yet, though. Interlagos is always a demanding weekend, and there is little margin for error. We need to execute strongly from the first session and put ourselves in the best possible position to bring home both titles this season," he concluded.
