The latest financial report highlights Mercedes-Benz's dominance in the standings, driven by Andrea Kimi Antonelli's performance. Yet, veteran drivers' contract values remain staggering, with base salaries excluding win bonuses or personal endorsement deals.
Contract Dilemma Amid Rival Dominance
Verstappen has secured his future with Red Bull until 2030 on a base salary of USD 70 million per season. That figure makes him the most valuable asset in the sport, despite his car struggling to compete.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton is in his second year with Ferrari, earning USD 60 million. His presence not only boosts performance but also delivers massive commercial exposure for the Prancing Horse.
Ferrari and Mercedes: High-Stakes Financial Gamble
Charles Leclerc follows with USD 34 million, bringing Ferrari's total driver payroll to USD 94 million, the largest in the sport this season.
