The Formula 1 paddock at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez serves as a critical redemption ground for Oracle Red Bull Racing following a deeply challenging weekend in the United States. Max Verstappen openly admitted that his team faced multiple operational hurdles that heavily compromised their race pace and strategic execution in Austin, ranging from radio communication glitches to inconsistent starts and flawed race strategy.

Despite the compounded errors throughout the weekend in Texas, Verstappen acknowledged that securing a podium finish under those conditions was somewhat remarkable. The Dutch driver emphasized that while the team usually operates with exceptional precision during a Grand Prix weekend, Austin simply exposed several weak points that need immediate attention. "We have a few construction sites. The radio didn't work well a few times this year. We've looked at that. And our starts need to become more consistent, meaning consistently good," Verstappen explained while reviewing the performance dip.

Addressing the media in the Mexican paddock, Red Bull Team Principal Laurent Mekies provided a candid assessment of the upcoming challenge at high altitude. Mekies noted that Mexico City's unique atmospheric conditions traditionally create a volatile pecking order, making it difficult to pinpoint exact competitive advantages beforehand. He also praised Ayumu Iwasa for successfully assisting in testing new car components, while clarifying that Isack Hadjar encountered a minor power unit issue unrelated to the extreme altitude.

Furthermore, Mekies conceded that their execution in Austin fell drastically short of the high standards set during dominant displays earlier in the season in Malaysia and Singapore. He acknowledged the supreme pace shown by Kimi Antonelli for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, but stressed that internal execution errors ultimately prevented them from challenging properly. "What I can confirm: We showed an unclean race in Texas. Some of our problems in Austin were expected, others not. Ultimately, Kimi Antonelli in the Mercedes was too strong anyway, but we certainly didn't work at as high a level as before," stated Mekies.
