Lewis Hamilton is a British Formula 1 racing driver born in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, on 7 January 1985. He is one of the most successful drivers in Formula 1 history, recognised for his combination of speed, consistency, technical ability, and race intelligence.

Hamilton began his motorsport journey through karting at a young age. His talent developed rapidly, allowing him to achieve strong results in various karting championships.
