Lando Norris once again showcased his class as reigning world champion by securing pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring circuit. The qualifying session was fiercely competitive, with incredibly close gaps among the top teams.

Norris delivered a phenomenal performance, maximizing the Soft tyre on his final run. Although McLaren didn't appear dominant in practice, Norris extracted the maximum from his car. He managed to keep the tyres in their optimal window, especially in the third sector, which often troubled other drivers.

Soft Tyre Mastery and Norris's Aggressive Style

Norris's ability to push aggressively yet keep the tyres under control was key. Data showed he gained 12-16 km/h in some corners compared to Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen. Antonelli from Mercedes once again impressed, taking second place. The young Italian was consistent throughout qualifying and posed a serious threat to the veterans. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton had to settle for third after a small error at Turn 5 cost him valuable time.
